Had a chance to connect with Ope from Octave Jewelry, I always love learning more about fellow female small business owners.  I was already an admirer of Octave before but Ope’s sweet demeanor made me fall in love with her and her brand even more.

What sets Ope’s work apart is her playful use of stone —  she obsesses over color and light and is always looking for ways to think about that.  She lets herself get caught up in the history of the materials as they took millions of years to form, and she gets one shot to cut them in a way that honors that.

The name Octave comes from the medical clinic Ope’s mother owned when she was growing up in Nigeria — Octave Medical Services.  Her mother has since left that career behind but Ope’s always loved the name, the number 8, and the musical significance.

A collective favorite from Octave are the Trio Drops, the most accurate reflection of Ope’s current self.appearance in her latest music video 'Let Her.'
